Background

Dr.
Kim is a Professor and Neurosurgeon-in-Chief of Division of Pediatric
Neurosurgery at Seoul National University Children’s Hospital and Seoul National University College
of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. He serves as the
Executive Director of Pediatric Nervous System Rare Disease Research Center and
a 2nd head of Pediatric Clinical Neuroscience Center.
Dr. Kim has trained at Seoul National University College of Medicine with post graduate
studies at Seoul National University Hospital. He completed post-doctoral research fellowship
at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA.
Dr. Kim is
a skillful neurosurgeon and has operated on huge numbers of
pediatric patients with neurological diseases. He is interested in clinical
research on brain tumor, epilepsy surgery and moyamoya disease. He is also directing basic research on
cerebral ischemia and stem cell research for CNS disorders.
