Moreover, to achieve this, a medical cluster that encompasses the academic societies and industries will be established and developed as a creative and innovative R&D mecca with a world-class clinical trial center and medical research innovation center.
President Suh said: “The Seoul National University Hospital will be born again as a medical institution that creates the basis of health insurance policy and leads the new public health-care policy. By responding to local and overseas public health-care policies in advance, we will exert efforts to strengthen the national public health-care capability and continue with the public development aid in public health-care areas, such as supporting the infrastructure and delivering advanced medical knowledge to developing countries.” He also added: “By establishing a world-class medical service system, we will focus on leading the world’s health care beyond what we offer in South Korea. Furthermore, we will gradually expand the cooperation with foreign governments and relevant institutions.”
