The SNU Hospital’s new branch will be opening at 420 Lexington Ave. Suite 2360, New York at the Korean Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) building.

New York office will facilitate research cooperation with the leading U.S hospitals, as well as medical exchange between Korean and United States. Moreover, through the advancement of policy collaboration, the SNU Hospital plans to promote a new air of cooperation between the two countries.

The N.Y office enables Koreans seeking for a medical check-up to receive a medical service at the Gangnam SNU Hospital Healthcare System Center run by the SNU Hospital. If a patient is diagnosed with a disease during a check-up, he/she can receive a prompt treatment at the SNU Hospital or the Bundang SNU Hospital. Furthermore, an integrated health management service is provided through a network with the local hospital in the US for continuous care even after the treatment.

President of the SNU Hospital Hee-won Jung proclaimed, “The medical service of the SNU Hospital will try to provide the best standards of various medical services to Korean residents in America in improving their health status.” Also, “it will facilitate the globally recognized domestic service to be more accessible on the global stage.”

The opening of the N.Y office is the second of its kind after the LA office that launched in November, 2008. Since the branch in L.A office opened, more than 3,000 patients now receive medical check-ups and services.
